🚀Inspired by the success of the “Leadership School” held as part of the Resilient Europe project, we want to share the inspiring story of our new project, “Youth Connect for Ukraine.” Its main goal was to develop youth leadership for a resilient future. This project became a catalyst for shaping a new generation of leaders, which is a key component of the resilience we are exploring.

The unique format of the event, which combined intensive training with dynamic Pop-Up activities, brought together 100 people in Uzhhorod. 25 training participants (including representatives of national minorities, people with disabilities, and IDPs) mastered the fundamentals of critical thinking, non-violent communication, and media literacy. We paid special attention to mental health and emotional burnout.

The project not only provided knowledge but also turned ideas into real actions. The participants developed and implemented 6 social initiatives covering the following areas:

👧female leadership – “Informally with girls”;
🧘psycho-emotional support – “Reboot Point”;
🗳️ advocacy and interaction with authorities – «SPARK: Supporting Participation, Advocacy, Rights, Knowledge»;
🏫 school self-governance – “School Self-Governance: Leadership in Action”;
🔬 popularization of science – “Elements of the Universe”;
🌳 environmental awareness – «ZelenO»

This experience proves that youth are a driving force for social change. We have created a cohesive community ready to act and build a resilient future for Ukraine.

The project was implemented with the support of the British Council Ukraine.
